BAGGAGE

                            ''THE THINGS I CARRY''

I never really taught about the things I carried. When our teacher
gave us this assignment i felt it was an opportunity to express myself.
The item I always carry everywhere is my necklace  given to me by
Grandma. I never really started wearing it until the second semester
of my sophmore year. I started wearing it because I found out that my
Grandma had Dimentia. The reason I wear my necklace, everyday is so I could have
a memory of her where ever I go.
My Dreams and goals like everyone sometime changes depending on a situation,
but my parents always stay the same. They had always wanted me to be
a Doctor, even when we were in Nigeria. When I was a kid I wanted to be
\a pro Wrestler, just like any other kid but when i when i grew up I started
to get more serious about my future. Then about 2 years ago I was introduced
to American Football and I fell in love.

I was fascinated with the sport. Then i wanted to play pro Football.

Sadly, about a year and a half ago my mom got sick, and I was scared for

her life. She later survived and I was jublious, I became fascinated with the Doctors that

saved her life and know i have a permanent goal. I carry this Inspiration everywhere I go.

The relationship I carry everywhere I go is the one between my grandma and I.

The relationship had made me a better person everywhere I go. She really helped me

understand the essence of life and how it should be appreciated.

I don't really know how to describe my personality. I think of myself as a nice person with

a nice heart. I always "carry" the need to help people that need it. When i  describe myself

one world I would not use would be serious.

Finally, I carry a lot of memories because i have lived a long life

16 yrs to be exact. I carry a lot of memories wherever I go but the memory that

\I enjoy the most is when i came to America.

That whole day was very exciting for me because that was the first time i ever

really traveled anywhere. I remember coming down the plane, and wonder

about the kids and if they would accept me. That day was really a great turning

point in my life. Every time I think about that day I smile.

  1. Coming here to America is something that we both have in common. It was that day where my life was completely changed.

  2. Raphael, I understand your situation. My dad was an immigrant from a different country, New Zealand to be exact. It's true that 16 years is a long time. Keep preserving my brother. God Bless.
