One of the hardest things to do as a young man is to establish your own identity without denying your original heritage. In the short story "Everyday Use'' the author tries to make a huge argument on how young people try to establish their own identity, and another trying to go with the flow.
The third in every situation is always the most difficult to explain. Some young people try to infuse their identity with their parents identity, some of them have success but others wind up confused. Some movements have helped young people find their way. Some might think that the establishment of an identity is an African american thing, but a world matter.
For example, an Asian American who has born in America might not understand some aspects of their culture and might not be accepted by her own culture. This confuses a young person on not knowing who they are or what group they belong to. Some movement like the S.W.A.G movement have helped certain young people find
Edgar Allen Poe was a great writer who used his gift of scaring the the pants of people very undoubtfully. He had sort of a gothic style. He was also so influential that the Baltimore Ravens named their after his short story The Raven.
Poe had a great way of writing his suspenseful thriller like his use of personification. He brings the book to life and even makes it more scarier. He helps you feel how derange and psycopathic he truly is .
Another of Poe's style of writing i would are his narc for creepy and unsettling settings. Poe is famous for his use of horrific and spine tingling settings. Like in his book The House Of Usher he make the setting a hotel which does the hunting.
Poe was great writer but i would also try and make the manner of death for some of the characters in the short story. he does a lot of great things write in the story but i never got how they died.
