The End Of The Line

Junior year was a very stressful year in my life, and i wonder how senior year would be
like. Although this year was very stressful i also really enjoyed it , and one of my favorite classes was Ap English language. I really enjoyed the class not just because of the teacher , but also because of the rigorous education we received. This course has helped me a lot in school because it gave me confidence to know that i could write essays with confidence. This course has prepared me for life, because it helps me when i need to apply for a job. Some might ask how this might class might help you, but it helps you in the aspect of figuring out your resume. The essay that was difficult for me was the synthesis essay, i really did not get it at first but thanks to my teacher i got it. For the ap test i hope i did better on it .

I feel this class was a stepping ladder to success in the future. the essay i enjoyed the most was the argumentational essay. i really liked it because it gave us a chance to argue , not persuade against someone you do not even know. The most enjoyable book i read was In Cold Blood by Truman Capote. I really enjoyed the book because of its more significant meaning. The novel i enjoyed the least was the Crucible, i found the book interesting but i did not really enjoy how it ended.

This school year really suprised me because of the wonderful teachers ans the wonderful things i learned through the way.

War

                War Effect on Relationship
The  Vietnam  war  was  responsible  for  over  fifty  eight  thousand  deaths.  It  also responsible  for   about  fifteen  percent  of  ended  relationships.  War  affect  many  parts  of peoples  lifes  even  personal.  Relationship  tend  to  be  what  people  want  to  protect  the most.  War  affect  manly  people  differently  some  hate  but  others  think  that  it  is  neccesary  for  it  to  happen.  War  affected  a  lot  of  soldiers  Psychologically  and  physically. War  can  strain  the  relationship  that  partner  have  worked  had  for.
For  example,  In  Forest  Gump  when  he  leaves  for  war   in  Vietnam  he  loses contract  with  his  love  she  was  an  activist  who  did  not  approve  of  the  war.  Although  he received  letters  from  her ,  he  could  not  see  her  face  to  face .  After   he  comes  he  notices how  different  she  had  become.  Although  they  are  later  back  together  the  strain  was obviously  there .  They  both  missed  each  others  life  that  they  are  like  different  people. Forest  Gump  did  not  show  any  psychological  changes   except  for  the  loss  of  his  best  friend   Bubba.  She  had  obviously  changed   from  what  she  used  to  be.  Gump  a  kind  of slow  individual  did  not  really  show  any  signs  of  being  depressed  after  being  such  a violent  war  like  the  Vietnam  war.  Although  they  did  not  have  a  romantic  relationship there  were   best  friend  that  were  always  together.  Forest  Gump  did  see  a  little      character   change ,  although  it  is  not  that  clear  he  did  become  more  mature.
Secondly,  in  the  book  the  ‘’The  Things  They  Carried’’  by  Tim  O’Brien ,  Mark Fossie  is  told  to  have  brought   his  girlfriend  with  him  to  the  war .  It  is  said  when  she first  got  to  the  war  camp  she  was  dressed  like  innocent  doll.  After  a  while  her  attitude changed  completely  and  was  going  on  ambushes  with  the  green  berets,  which  is  very dangerous .  Mark  fossie  could  not  deal  with  deal  with  the  relationship  anymore  and called  of  their  engagement   because  of  how  different  she  had  become  a  different  person . The  strain  of  keeping  a  healthy  relationship  going  while   changing  into  a  different  person.  Also  the  relationship  between  Lt.  Jimmy  Cross  and  Martha  the  girl  he  loved  to love,  also  got  strained.  She  ended  up  going  a  different  direction   that  was  not  with Jimmy  Cross,  but  he  still  confesses  to  allows  love  her .  The  relationship  was  doomed from  the  beginning  when  he  left  for  war .

Thirdly,  the  fact  that  the  two  have  not  seen  each  other  in  along while .  When  a person  that  has  been  at  war  for  a  while  could  be  scared.  The  fact  that  they  do  not  know  if  their  partner  were  dead  or  alive  is  also  impressing.  No  way  of  communicating with  the  other  partner  could  be  also  frustrating.  The  partner  could   also  be  the  possibility of  cheating  to  get  the  satisfaction  that  they  desire.  They   is  no  way  of   knowing  what  is really  happening  at  ‘’home’’.  The  fact  of  not  knowing  can  also  drive  a  person  crazy. There  is  no  way  knowing   what  really  happens  when  your  are  gone  from  home. Loving  a   person  and  not  knowing  if  they  are  dead  or  alive  can  make  people  do  intense  things . For  the  men  the  relationship  is  always  a  fantasy  of  life  outside  the  war.
Finally,  they  has  been  cases  of  soldiers  in  the  war  that  have  returned  from  and killed   their  partners . Some  say   that   the  stress  of  being  in  war ,  and  the  unacceptable things  that  were  seen  and   being  done  in  war.  Some  soldiers  are  said  to  completely change  and  come  home  and  viciously  killing  their  partners  in  cold  blood  for  no  reason. The  strain  in  relationship  starts  the  day  when  the  partners  live  for  war.  Up  all  night thinking   about  the  other ,  wondering  how  they   are  someone  go  mad .  Also  in  ‘’Forest Gump’’  and  ‘’The  Things  They  Carried’’ ,  underlines  the  strain  that  war  can  have          on   relationships.   The   Psychological  impact  of   war   especially   one  so   highly  criticized like  the  Vietnam  war   packs  a  mental  punch  that   can  be  hard  to  come  back  from.  For example  Norman   Bowker  from  ‘’the  things  they  carried’’,  did  not  have  smooth  transition from  war  to  life.  He  could  no  longer  find  a  relationship  because  he  got  back  to  his normal self.
In  conclusion,  war  obviously  puts  a  lot  of  mental  and  physical  strain  on relationships,  but  it   is  up  to  the  partners  to  know  what  the  next  step  is .  Their  relationship  could  come  crashing  down. Relationship is a very flexible thing anything can easily break it down so easily. Forest Gump shows and The Things They Carried all are effected by the war that the served in.

BAGGAGE

                            ''THE THINGS I CARRY''

I never really taught about the things I carried. When our teacher
gave us this assignment i felt it was an opportunity to express myself.
The item I always carry everywhere is my necklace  given to me by
Grandma. I never really started wearing it until the second semester
of my sophmore year. I started wearing it because I found out that my
Grandma had Dimentia. The reason I wear my necklace, everyday is so I could have
a memory of her where ever I go.
My Dreams and goals like everyone sometime changes depending on a situation,
but my parents always stay the same. They had always wanted me to be
a Doctor, even when we were in Nigeria. When I was a kid I wanted to be
\a pro Wrestler, just like any other kid but when i when i grew up I started
to get more serious about my future. Then about 2 years ago I was introduced
to American Football and I fell in love.

I was fascinated with the sport. Then i wanted to play pro Football.

Sadly, about a year and a half ago my mom got sick, and I was scared for

her life. She later survived and I was jublious, I became fascinated with the Doctors that

saved her life and know i have a permanent goal. I carry this Inspiration everywhere I go.

The relationship I carry everywhere I go is the one between my grandma and I.

The relationship had made me a better person everywhere I go. She really helped me

understand the essence of life and how it should be appreciated.

I don't really know how to describe my personality. I think of myself as a nice person with

a nice heart. I always "carry" the need to help people that need it. When i  describe myself

one world I would not use would be serious.

Finally, I carry a lot of memories because i have lived a long life

16 yrs to be exact. I carry a lot of memories wherever I go but the memory that

\I enjoy the most is when i came to America.

That whole day was very exciting for me because that was the first time i ever

really traveled anywhere. I remember coming down the plane, and wonder

about the kids and if they would accept me. That day was really a great turning

point in my life. Every time I think about that day I smile.

DIFFICULT

One of the hardest things to do as a young man is to establish
your own identity without denying your original heritage. In the short
story "Everyday Use'' the author tries to make a huge argument on how
young people try to establish their own identity, and another trying to go
  with the flow.

The third in every situation is always the most difficult to explain.
Some young people try to infuse their identity with their parents identity,
some of them have success but others wind up confused. Some movements
have helped young people find their way. Some might think that the establishment
of an identity is an African american thing, but a world matter.

For example, an Asian American who has born in America might not understand
some aspects of their culture and might not be accepted by her own culture. This
confuses a young person on not knowing who they are or what group they belong to.
Some movement like the S.W.A.G movement have helped certain young people find

a group that they could be a part of.

Learning From Poe

LEARNING FROM POE

Edgar Allen Poe was a great writer who used his gift of scaring the
the pants of people very undoubtfully. He had sort of a gothic style.
He was also so influential that the Baltimore Ravens named their after
his short story The Raven.

Poe had a great way of writing his suspenseful thriller like his use
of personification. He brings the book to life and even makes it
more scarier. He helps you feel how derange and psycopathic
he truly is .

Another of Poe's style of writing i would  are his narc for creepy
and unsettling settings. Poe is famous for his use of horrific and
spine tingling settings. Like in his book The House Of Usher he
make the setting a hotel which does the hunting.

Poe was great writer but i would also try and make the manner of
death for some of the characters in the short story. he does a lot of great
things write in the story but i never got how they died.

The pursuit of faultiness

                   Faults in Leaders.

The U.S.A is a land of opportunity for any journalist wants to
make a name for themselves. The golden route is to  attack
great political figures mostly the presidents. I am going to
discuss about the most infamous president Bill Clinton.

In the New era most people do not remember Bill for the
great things he did for this country, like how he helped the
country financially. Most people remember him for the scandal
with his intern Monica Lewinsky.
Although he tried to lie about it the press blew it way out of proportion.
The press may have been perceived as happy during this time , because he was
such a clean cut president. His involvement with with his intern, indeed wrong was
this was not i going to be a distraction from his work as president.

Our nations obsession with finding faults in leaders could be the downfall
of the nation.Bill Clinton was an  outstanding president with great leadership
skills that really enabled the country. Bill and his wife Hilary are still the
political leadership icons of this country.
